Our company is seeking a skilled Unix System Administrator to join our team. As a Unix System Administrator, you will play a key role in maintaining and supporting Linux/Unix technologies.

\

This role involves undertaking maintenance and automation activities to continually improve the service of Linux/Unix operating systems. You will be responsible for managing network design, deploying new initiatives, and maintaining the integrity of the network and associated documentation.

\

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT and telecommunications, administering and supporting various internal and external-facing systems. Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or telecommunications are also required.

\

In this role, you will work within a dynamic team across multiple locations. You will have the opportunity to innovate new technologies and modernize the environment by transitioning from legacy systems to contemporary tech stacks.

\Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to various Unix/Linux systems and supporting applications within the business.
  • Perform support tasks such as patching, troubleshooting, and triaging problems via escalation from the operations center.
  • Provide solutions and services that strategically harness the power of Information Technology.

\Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or telecommunications.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux-based system administration (RedHat/Debian/Solaris).
  • Experience with TELCO/ISP applications (Web/Mail/DNS/RADIUS/DHCP/LDAP).
  • Experience in virtualisation, containerisation, storage, load balancing, and high availability.
