Job Summary

Orion Group is seeking a talented Junior Drafter/Survey Assistant to join our Norwest office. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in interpreting and converting survey data into accurate and detailed drawings using CAD software.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate IV in Drafting or be enrolled in a Survey Degree/Diploma. Experience with Magnet and AutoCAD software is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of survey techniques and industry standards is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and convert survey data (field notes, measurements, and sketches) into accurate and detailed drawings using CAD software.
  • Create and revise detailed survey plans and site maps, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and timely delivery of projects.
  • Work closely with senior surveyors and engineers to support field surveys and provide drafting assistance for various surveying tasks.
  • Maintain and organize survey files, records, and drawings, ensuring that all documents are properly filed and up to date.
