Early Childhood Development SpecialistAbout the Role

The Early Childhood Development Specialist will lead the development of evidence-informed initiatives, including funded programs and responsive place-based approaches, to support the sustained implementation and consistent participation of all children in development and learning pathways.

This role involves developing and implementing projects with risk management strategies and key performance measures to ensure timely and effective outcomes. The specialist will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and agencies on strategic early years priorities relating to early childhood.

A critical aspect of this role is identifying regional and local early childhood needs through targeted activities and collaboration with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement evidence-informed early childhood initiatives to achieve sustainable results.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address regional and local early childhood needs.
  • Lead and manage projects with a focus on risk management and timely delivery.
  • Analyse data to inform early childhood resource synthesis and planning.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing early childhood initiatives and projects.
  • Strong communication and partnership skills to build enduring relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with organisational goals.
  • Knowledge of early childhood resource synthesis and analysis.
