Strategic Compliance Lead for Regulatory Excellence

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Compliance Lead to drive regulatory excellence across our organization. This is a key role that will be responsible for providing strategic advice on change, change process and integrity of changes.

As a Compliance Manager, Regulatory Change, you will step into this Line 2 Compliance role and provide insights to the Board, Board Committees, GLT ensuring there is an adequately designed assurance program to provide comfort of the integrity of control environment for key regulatory change.

This role is accountable for overseeing the review and challenge of Line 1's implementation of regulatory change, and provide oversight over the regulatory change portfolio and drives the .

continuous process improvement of IAG's management and delivery of regulatory changes.

About You:

  • Extensive experience (7 years+) in leading risk and / or compliance functions within financial services.
  • Previous experience in a project management, change management, regulatory, legal, audit and/or risk management role with ability to engage and influence at the Executive Manager and Executive General Manager level.
  • Leadership within a complex project / change environment.
  • Proven change management skills.
  • Proven ability to influence wide stakeholder group in course of action.
  • Ability to actively keep abreast of changes in external environment and translate into internal environment and identify potential issues.
  • Ability to write papers to senior executives or board.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across whole of function and broader group to reach common approach.
  • Broad understanding of core industry legislation.
  • Highly organised, with high attention to detail and forward planning.
  • Able to work autonomously across a variety of duties.
  • Ability to condense complex data points, themes, and trends into simple and focussed advice.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
