Job Opportunity: Smit Lamnalco Australia is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified professionals to join our team as a Deck Officer/Engine Room Officer for our emergency towage capability vessel.

About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a brand new purpose-built emergency towage vessel for a long-term contract. As a Deck Officer/Engine Room Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant maritime regulations and company policies
  • Monitor and maintain vessel systems and equipment
  • Collaborate with the crew to achieve safe and efficient vessel operations
  • Participate in regular maintenance and repair activities

Requirements:

  • Integrated Ratings (STCW II/5 and III/5)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours
