Personal Care Assistant Opportunity

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant to join our team at St Peter's residential aged care community.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our valued residents, ensuring their dignity, life, and spirituality are promoted through connected and inclusive communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with personal care activities such as showering, dressing, and toileting
  • Support residents with day-to-day tasks, including eating, social activities, and medication management
  • Work collaboratively with clinical staff to ensure care plans are followed and residents' health and well-being are optimized
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to a safe, home-like environment
  • Provide exceptional service to families and the community

Requirements:

  • A Certificate 3 in Aged Care (or equivalent) with 12 months active experience
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Ability to provide evidence of Covid Vaccination
  • Willingness to apply for NDIS clearance
