Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team as a key member in the pursuit and delivery of projects within the energy and resources sector.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with our clients to deliver studies, detailed designs, and construction management services. This role will also involve collaborating with engineers and project managers to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate various projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned civil engineer to lead high-profile projects and contribute to the growth and development of our Resources Hub team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in resource sector projects, including planning, design, commissioning, and close-out phases.

You will be expected to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve project goals. Your expertise in international and local engineering methods, applicable codes, and specifications will be valuable assets to the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead project delivery teams to achieve project objectives
  • Develop and implement project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure project success
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and revenue growth
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant tertiary engineering degree (CPEng registration highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated professional experience in the resources sector
  • Robust knowledge of international and local engineering methods, applicable codes, and specifications
  • Experience with planning, design, commissioning, and close-out phases of resource sector projects
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
