Your Role:

As a Transport Compliance Advisor, you will partner with multiple business units, including Ground & Rail, Finished Vehicle Logistics, and Contract Logistics. Your expertise will guide them on Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation, and associated regulatory requirements.

You will work closely with QHSE teams to conduct root cause analyses and champion safety improvements.

  1. Interpret and monitor evolving CoR and HVNL legislation, adapting CEVA's systems for full compliance across sites, carriers, and transport contractors.
  2. Develop and manage internal and external audit schedules, conducting in-depth audits and producing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  3. Lead training needs analyses and coordinate the design and delivery of compliance programs, coaching junior coordinators and advisors in transport legislation and safety best practice.
  4. Collaborate on introducing digital platforms and integrated systems that strengthen CEVA's transport governance framework.
  5. Serve as the primary expert for operations teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders on all transport compliance matters.

Requirements:

We seek an ideal candidate with solid experience in transport operations, compliance, or training. Key qualifications include:

  • A thorough understanding of CoR legislation.
  • A proven ability to deliver high-quality training and communicate complex compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with accreditation frameworks, particularly the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS).
  • Relevant qualifications in CoR, fatigue management, mass, load restraint, or maintenance.
  • A full driving license and own vehicle, with flexibility to travel intrastate as required.
