Medical Specialist Nephrology Role in Northern Queensland

Skilled Medical is seeking an experienced Nephrology Staff Specialist to join our team in Northern Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering service dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art kidney transplantation.
We are looking for a suitably experienced medical professional with specialist registration and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent. The successful candidate will contribute clinically to the management and provision of comprehensive kidney transplant services, including providing outreach services, education, and training support.
The position also involves assisting with the management and provision of Nephrology services at the University Hospital, providing specialist leadership to medical staff, and contributing to multidisciplinary patient care teams.
This role offers a range of benefits, including an attractive relocation package, generous remuneration up to $536,916 per annum, and 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading. Additionally, there is an employer contribution to superannuation, attraction and retention incentive allowance, regional and rural attraction allowance, motor vehicle allowance, and professional development allowance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Directors of Kidney Transplant and Nephrology to provide quality leadership based on evidence-based practices. They will also be required to undertake shifts in an extended span of ordinary hours to meet clinical need, as well as travel to other facilities within the THHS.
