Exceptional Care Specialist
The Transitional/Nurse Practitioner will be part of a dynamic healthcare team working towards exceptional care and healthier lives. The role is expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model, promoting culture and supporting practices that reflect the CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient health using diagnostic capability, develop care plans and engage with others, prescribe and implement therapeutic interventions and support health systems effectively.
- Utilize key elements of care which are guided by the NMBA Nurse Practitioner Standards including comprehensive health assessment, initiation and interpretation of diagnostic investigations to inform clinical decision making.
- Collaborate and consult with other healthcare professionals, engage in reflective practice and accountability on the care provided.
- Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner or enrolled in an NMBA approved Nurse Practitioner program of study.
- Postgraduate qualifications at Master's level, in a NMBA approved program of study or working towards same.
- Demonstrated high-level knowledge and advanced clinical nursing skills including comprehensive assessment, interpretation of diagnostics, implementation of treatment modalities and relevant referral skills applied to challenging situations.
- Proven expertise in complex client-centred consultancy, practice development activities including mentoring, education, active participation in communities of practice, policy development and quality improvement.
- Recent experience in acute care facilities.
