A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Cook to join our team at Kebabiya in Bella Vista.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional with a passion for cooking to take on the challenge of preparing a wide range of meals from our menu, focusing on Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate II or III in commercial Cookery and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food before use. They will also contribute to improving the menu list, kitchen facility, and business of the restaurant.

In this role, you will prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. You will prepare meat and non-vegetarian dishes and salads, undertake portion control practices, arrange, and garnish food according to the creative ethos of the kitchen.

Other key responsibilities include storing food in temperature-controlled facilities, providing input in the creation of seasonal menus and new recipes, seasoning and cooking food according to recipes or your own experience and knowledge.

You will also help with stock management, including ordering, rotation, and wastage control, ensuring wastage is kept to a minimum. In addition, you will maintain a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen.

To be successful in this position, you must have relevant work experience and trade qualifications, as well as a genuine interest in the hospitality industry. You must also comply with all WHS, Food Safety, and HACCP requirements.

This is a full-time position offering an estimated salary of AUD 73,500 + 11.5% Superannuation per annum, based on the location and industry standards.
