About Cyber Security

We are seeking a talented individual to help us shape the future of Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance. This is an opportunity for hands-on experience and expertise growth in our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understanding and analysing current Cyber Security landscapes to identify gaps against future goals
  • Assisting in creating and updating key security documents, including System Security Plans, Risk Management Plans, and Incident Response Plans
  • Contributing to auditing systems to ensure they meet standards such as the Essential Eight and NIST frameworks
  • Supporting the development of various designs, security policies, and procedures
  • Helping enforce security practices during operations and supporting ongoing security reviews and validations

Requirements

This role requires a basic knowledge of Business Risk Management, Information Security, and Information Assurance. Consultancy and IT Governance skills are also desired. A relevant degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or IT Governance is necessary.

Benefits

Based primarily in Canberra, with potential for positions in other Australian capital cities. Initial engagement ranges from 3 to 6 years, with opportunities for extensions up to 10 years. Willingness to obtain ITIL v4 Foundation certification is required. A current minimum Baseline security clearance is also necessary.

Skills and Qualifications

- Basic knowledge of Business Risk Management, Information Security, and Information Assurance.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Cyber Security or IT Governance.
- Excellent communications skills, strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
