Full Stack Web Development Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced full stack web developer to join our team as a teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, you will be responsible for assisting instructors with lesson plans and leading class activities.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of experience in full stack web development and a strong passion for education. A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required. The candidate should also have experience working with databases, server-side languages, and libraries such as MongoDB, MySQL, Node, Express, and ORMs. Additionally, they should have familiarity with front-end programming languages and frameworks like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Responsive Design (or any templating framework), ReactJS, version control (Git, Github), and deployment servers like Heroku.

You will work closely with instructors to ensure that students receive the best possible learning experience. This includes taking attendance, ensuring the instructor stays on pace with the lesson plan, assisting students during activity and project work time, researching and answering student questions, and providing empathy, support, and encouragement while engaging students.

The position requires a part-time commitment of 24 weeks with classes held three times a week from 6:00 PM to 10:15 PM. You must have a laptop, camera, at least one additional monitor, microphone/headset, and reliable internet access. Experience with Zoom video conferencing is preferred.
