About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Christian educator to join our team at NT Christian Schools - Marrara Christian College. As a Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and hearts of our students, providing a thoroughly Christian education and giving effective witness to the biblically based religious beliefs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Learning
    • Prepare and deliver high-quality teaching programs that incorporate a biblical perspective, catering to the diverse needs of our students.
    • Maintain a high level of competence in pedagogy, current teaching practices, and classroom management and behavioral support skills.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting
    • Accurately record student performance and progress, contributing to the creation of reports and assessments.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals, embracing a culture of mutual love, service, trust, acceptance, patience, forgiveness, and support.
  • Administration and Support
    • Contribute to the administration, review, development, and delivery of educational programs and co-curricular activities.
    • Undertake duties related to campus support, such as attending school events, supervising playground and detention duties, and teaching in the classroom.
Selection Criteria
  • Essential:
    • A committed Christian actively involved in their local church.
    • Ability to effectively model Christian values and give an authentic witness to those values.
    • Demonstrate the ability to draw upon the beliefs articulated in our Policies and Procedures to prepare an environment and culture of biblical perspective.
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as a relational, empowering educator.
    • Be pastorally committed to creating an environment of care for nurturing students.
    • Establish abilities according to the requirements of the job as listed above.
    • Hold appropriate experience and tertiary qualifications relevant to the position.
    • Be an educational professional with growing knowledge of their learning area, pedagogy, and innovation.
Requirements
  • Hold a valid Working with Children (Ochre) Card.
  • Hold a valid NT police check within the last 12 months, or invoice of order for one.
  • Hold a current NT Teachers Registration.
  • Hold a current NT Driver's License.
