We are seeking an Employment Support Specialist to join our team at WISE Employment LTD in Ulverstone and surrounding areas. About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and solution-oriented individual to make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability, illness, injury, or employment barriers. As an Employment Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting participants with their job search, resume writing, interview preparation, and career development.

You will work closely with employers and community organizations to identify and assess barriers towards employment and create solutions to support individuals at work and ongoing. Your goal will be to increase employability through training and other support services, creating clear pathways into sustainable employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strong rapport with participants to understand their needs, interests, skills, and experience
  • Assist with participants' resumes, job applications, and interview preparation
  • Identify and assess barriers towards employment and create solutions to support individuals at work and ongoing
  • Create job plans with participants to support clear pathways into sustainable employment
  • Increase employability through training and other support services
  • Sourcing employment opportunities through networking and sales strategies
  • Building and maintaining relationships with potential employers and community organizations

Requirements
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Hold a full Australian driver's license
  • Be willing to obtain a National Police Check
  • Be able to pass a Working with Children Check
