Job Summary

The Business Advisory Accountant will play a crucial role in delivering quality accounting, tax, and business advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and complete client work across a range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services.
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of financial statements and accurate workpapers for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
  • Prepare income tax returns for all lodging entities and ensure all tax details are accurate and lodged on time.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly compliance obligations, including Activity Statements (BAS/IAS).
  • Assist with the preparation of annual profit forecasts, budgets, and cash flow reports.
  • Gather tax information from client systems and verify financial results and analysis of income and expenditure.
  • Prepare standard letters on tax matters and document client discussions in accordance with firm procedures.
Requirements

The successful candidate will be tertiary-qualified and working towards a CA or CPA qualification with established experience in taxation, business advisory, and compliance services. Experience with Agribusiness clients will be advantageous.

Demonstrating an understanding of accounting principles and Australian tax regulations, along with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver accurate and timely support, will be essential.
