Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Apprentice Butcher to join our team at our Devonport store.

The apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring butcher to begin their career in retail butchery. You will be part of a team of butchers and other colleagues, responsible for preparing meat and delivering exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality meat products and serve customers with a smile.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets and provide a great shopping experience.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A positive attitude and strong communication skills to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Dedication and willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor to provide attentive customer service.
  • Energy and initiative to stay focused and motivated throughout shifts.
  • The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
  • Ongoing daytime availability on at least 3-4 days per week and every second weekend.
  • The desire and eligibility to undertake the Retail Butcher qualification through TasTafe.
  • Physical fitness for lifting and standing.
