About the Opportunity

This role offers a unique blend of technical and business acumen as you work closely with the National Portfolio Manager to develop, deliver, and drive an effective product strategy. You will be responsible for providing technical support, pricing strategies, underwriting rules, and portfolio analysis on a national basis to ensure the Property portfolio achieves its objectives.

As a key member of the team, you will have many opportunities to take ownership and work autonomously on critical tasks, showcasing your self-starter attitude, motivation to learn, and willingness to take responsibility.

The day-to-day activities may include assisting in the revision, maintenance, development, and implementation of policy wordings and endorsements, as well as supporting the NPM to develop and deliver an effective product strategy.

In this role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in underwriting technical audits, assist the NPM in developing technical support and guidance material for underwriters, and maintain and update product documentation to ensure they remain relevant.

You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including underwriters, actuaries, claims specialists, IT professionals, and finance experts, to develop and maintain networks and relationships that drive business success.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess insurance underwriting and/or underwriting governance experience, as well as experience in governance underwriting testing and compliance, change management, and implementing new ratings models and tools.

Additionally, you should have a proven ability to think laterally and analytically, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Insurance Underwriting and/or Underwriting Governance experience
  • Governance Underwriting testing and compliance experience
  • Change management experience
  • Implementing new ratings models and tools experience
  • Able to think laterally and analytically
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
