We are seeking a highly skilled APAC Murex Platform Developer to enhance and maintain our Murex platform, which plays a strategic role in the APAC region's financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to system improvements, robust problem-solving skills, and a strong background in software development and Murex applications. This position requires at least a graduate degree in a STEM-related field, preferably with a numerical and software engineering background.

Job Description:

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Murex installations across the APAC region, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide on-site training to clients using the Murex software system, as well as in-house training seminars on Murex.
  • Act as a core reference and information source, providing guidance and assistance in system decision-making for the APAC region.
  • PART of a global team responsible for application and developer support of the Murex installation in the APAC region.
  • Contribute to the development of Australian graduates and employees to become experienced users of the Murex application and infrastructure.
  • On-going real-time support to Murex application users in the APAC region.

Requirements:

  • At least a graduate degree level in a STEM course.
  • A combination of a numerical background and a software engineering background is particularly advantageous.
  • 2 years working in a high-performance computing environment in the capital markets or investment banking industry to include an appreciation of a range of asset classes.
  • Minimum 2+ years of Murex experience.
  • Experience with SQL and UNIX, R / python / Perl / bash.
  • Solid Administration, Analytical, reporting and Leadership & training skills.
  • Quick to grasp new ideas and concepts with ability to work to tight deadlines and under immense pressure at times.
  • Accustomed to flexible working practices.
  • Project, time & client - management skills with excellent communication skills and time Management Skills.
  • Skills in designing, developing, testing, and implementing software with a strong technical aptitude / expertise.
  • Effective Negotiation skills.
  • Lateral thinking – ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems and to conceptualise and think creatively.
  • Logical Approach to problem solving and an investigative and inquisitive.
  • Fluent in English – written & spoken. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Earnings: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).
