Our Opportunity
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Drill and Blast Efficiency Coach to join our team at Fortescue's Eliwana mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficiency of drill and blast activities and personnel, ensuring mine safety and production targets are optimized.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the optimization of all drill and blast operations, ensuring a safe workplace is maintained.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to drill and blast team members.
- Drive drilling and blasting techniques and procedures that promote zero harm and improve performance and cost efficiencies.
- Identify and analyze key performance metrics to pinpoint areas for improvement, aligning with our organizational goals.
- Conduct trials on Drill and Blast equipment and GET, and analyze results for the most optimum solution.
Requirements
- Relevant Driller experience and/or WA Shot firing tickets.
- Current and valid WA C-Class (manual) driver's license.
- Strong experience in mining, drill and blast, and the ability to read and understand mine plans.
- Knowledge of the Mine Regs Act and a strong commitment to safety.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
