About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Alstom's Dandenong facility. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing specific supplier panel relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring successful sourcing projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible outcomes for the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal performance and strategic alignment.
  • Prepare and launch Request For Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers using the standard tool to secure competitive bids.
  • Monitor sourcing project Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Technology (QCDT) to maintain project timelines and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the sourcing strategy is aligned with company goals and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with sourcing policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

About You

We value passion and attitude over experience. To succeed in this role, you will need:

A degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively represent commodities towards projects and teams.Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.Knowledge of commodity strategy development and execution.Experience or understanding of supplier relationship management and negotiation.Analytical skills to support Commodity Manager in tender phases.
