Job Title:

Heavy Machinery Operator

Description:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong operating skills, excellent physical fitness and a keen eye for detail. They will work in an outdoor environment to operate heavy-duty machinery for road maintenance, drainage, bridges and public areas.

Daily tasks include performing routine maintenance checks on plant equipment, inspecting and reporting any issues or damage, and providing assistance to the Road Management & Operations team when needed.

This is a challenging role that requires individuals who are self-motivated, able to work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Operating Experience: Proven experience in operating heavy-duty machinery and plant for general maintenance and construction works.
  • Physical Fitness: Excellent physical fitness level, with ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Certifications: Heavy Combination licence preferred or ability to obtain within six months of employment.
