Community Maintenance Officer

The role of a Community Maintenance Officer is a full-time position based at Division 7, St Paul's Moa Island.

Cleaning and maintaining council workplaces, amenities, and other facilities in a clean, tidy, and useable condition is a key responsibility of this role.

  • Ensure all areas are swept, vacuumed, and mopped to ensure cleanliness.
  • Cleaning glass surfaces, windows, doors, and partitions to ensure they are smear-free is also part of this job.
  • Cleaning air-conditioning filters and fans regularly is another responsibility.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in setting up for community meetings and council functions is an important task.
  • Handling cleaning chemicals safely and adhering to manufacturer guidelines is also essential.
  • Participating in ongoing training to stay updated on cleaning methods and safety procedures is crucial.
  • Complying with Council's health, safety, and environmental policies is also a must.

This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior experience in a related field.
