Philanthropy Development Lead

About the role: Beyond Blue seeks a strategic philanthropy professional to cultivate and grow major donor partnerships, drive meaningful impact, and connect purpose with generosity.

  • Key responsibilities:
  • Identify, engage, and nurture high-value relationships with major donors and philanthropic trusts.
  • Develop tailored strategies for building lasting relationships and securing significant donations.
  • Create compelling proposals that align with funding priorities and inspire financial support.
  • Manage donor communications, reporting, and events, ensuring seamless internal collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, applying data insights to improve engagement and pipeline development.
  • Track and report performance across fundraising metrics, including regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead budget management, work planning, and project delivery within defined timelines and targets.
  • Promote inclusive practices, aligning with Beyond Blue's Reconciliation Action Plan and engaging diverse communities.
  • Ensure ethical standards and compliance with internal policies for donation handling and relationship governance.
Requirements:
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in fundraising, marketing, business development, community engagement, or communications.
  • Substantial experience in philanthropy, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement, with a strong understanding of giving trends and donor motivations.
  • Exceptional storytelling, pitching, and audience engagement skills.
  • Strong relationship management, grant writing, and financial management capabilities.
