We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Director to oversee and lead construction projects in Australia.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in the construction industry, with strong leadership, project management skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations.

To be considered for this role, applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management and provide evidence of successfully completed projects, along with supporting documents such as qualifications, work history, a valid passport, and police clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of construction projects from conception to completion, including aspects of project planning, design, execution, and closure.
  • Coordination and supervision of construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Development of detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, and ensuring that projects adhere to these parameters.
  • Management of relationships with clients, stakeholders, architects, engineers, and other professionals.
  • Compliance with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
  • Addressing issues and risks associated with construction projects promptly and effectively.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve any problems that arise.
  • Providing clear and regular communication to all parties involved in the project.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing construction projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform site visits and inspections.
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, to ensure effective communication.
