About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Assistant to join our team at the Dandenong Distribution Centre. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our distribution centre, processing and dispatching donated goods to our Vinnies stores across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to move goods around the warehouse and loading/unloading trucks
  • Sort and process donated goods, ensuring they are ready for dispatch to our Vinnies stores
  • Work collaboratively with the warehouse team to achieve daily targets and maintain a safe and efficient working environment
  • Participate in regular stocktakes and inventory management to ensure accurate stock levels
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency

Requirements
  • A current and valid forklift license
  • Demonstrated experience in a warehouse environment, preferably with a Not-For-Profit organisation
  • An understanding of safe work practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
