About this role
  • Encourage resident choice and participation in individual and group activities.
  • Conduct resident assessments to gain a deeper understanding of each residents preference and needs.
  • Plan and implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents family and friends.
  • Act as team leader, providing coaching, supervision and guidance to the lifestyle team.
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and plan lifestyle activities and programs, ensuring residents have choice in maintaining their social, psychological, recreational cultural and spiritual wellbeing.

Key Requirements
  • A kind heart and passion for providing high quality care to the elderly.
  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or similar.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Strong coaching/training skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families.
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs of residents.
  • Great IT skills – strong proficiency required.
  • NDIS and Police check clearance or willingness to obtain.
