About the Role

As a theatre technician at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne, you will be a member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support and ensure the effective functioning of the Operating Suite.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing required resources and equipment for procedures in the Operating Theatre
  • Providing excellent trouble shooting skills and technical knowledge of equipment in the Theatre
  • Ensuring excellent patient preparation and care, including safe transportation and positioning of the patient
  • Managing Housekeeping to provide a clean environment with all equipment required for the procedure

Classifications for this position will range from IN8 - IN10 ($64,308 - $72,061 per annum, pro rata for part time).

Your Contribution

You should have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Health (Theatre Technician) or Certificate IV in Operating Suite technical Support
  • A technical aptitude and comfortable working with equipment
  • 1 year of minimum experience as a Theatre Technician (desirable)
  • Current National criminal history check or willing to obtain
