Program Lead
The Western Australia Department of Education seeks a highly skilled professional to manage the College's VET, Careers, WPL, and post-school transition programs.
This is a permanent full-time position. The successful applicant will drive innovation and quality improvement through regular review and analysis of student outcomes and program effectiveness.
The Program Lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with external providers, including industry, TAFEs, RTOs, and community organisations.
The role involves overseeing the joint management of the Peron Trade Training Centre with South Metropolitan TAFE, ensuring program delivery for both Gilmore students and those from the wider area.
The Program Lead will provide expert advice and support to students, staff, and families regarding VET and post-school options.
Promotion of VET and related programs across the school and broader community is also a key responsibility.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in VET, senior secondary schooling, careers or transition pathways.
- A high-level understanding of VET curriculum, policy, accreditation, and reporting requirements.
- Proven ability to foster effective partnerships with stakeholders, including TAFEs, industry bodies, and community organisations.
- Strong data literacy and experience using educational data to inform program development and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and securing external funding opportunities.
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills.

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Eligibility criteria include registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia, obtaining a valid Working With Children Check, and consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting.
