About the Role

As a Tunnel Design Specialist at WSP, you will have the opportunity to work on landmark projects and collaborate with talented professionals to drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities for generations to come.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical design advice on complex tunneling issues to clients and internal staff while delivering best practice consulting services
  • Using advanced techniques, modifications, and extension of theories, practices to synthesise and analyse data for decision making and recommendations
  • Building a reputation as an expert design consultant, participating in industry groups to maintain a high industry profile
  • Cultivating existing and new client relationships, undertaking proactive business development activities
  • Keeping abreast of advancing technologies, methods, and research and development
  • Preparing tenders, proposals, and reports for clients
  • Guiding, participating, and supporting stakeholder engagement activities

About You:

  • You can demonstrate your experience as a tunnel design engineer, with solid knowledge of mined and TBM methods of construction
  • Hold tertiary qualifications in civil engineering
  • Be a Chartered Engineer, or working towards being so
  • Possess a successful track record in undertaking and managing small to large size projects
  • Have a proven track record of promoting innovation in the field of civil engineering to create value for clients and projects
  • Have demonstrated experience in the preparation and review of written technical reports and client communications
  • Possess a strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Have the ability to take responsibility for tunnel design delivery in a multidisciplinary environment
