Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a small team in financial management during a critical period.

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in the preparation of annual financial statements and working with external auditors.

The selected candidate will oversee end-to-end accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries and maintenance, and timely and accurate month-end-closure.

To succeed in this role, you need a strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and solid technical accounting skills.

You will also need to show initiative and have the desire to improve business processes by working with stakeholders across different branches.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Benefits:

This role is available to ongoing employees as a temporary transfer at level and/or a temporary performance (acting) opportunity, with the possibility of extension to 12 months. You will be part of a supportive team and collaborate with highly knowledgeable colleagues.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to reporting requirements uncommon to most of the government agencies. You will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and manage a team of five.
