About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Specialist to join our team at The Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro project. This role will play a crucial part in the successful completion of a project that is delivering Australia's first pumped hydro power station in more than 40 years.

As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning and delivery of E&I commissioning of the power station.
  • Developing and implementing commissioning methodologies, management plans, ITPs, test reports, and relevant documentation.
  • Overseeing dry and wet commissioning activities, operational readiness, and hand-over of areas to the client.
  • Commissioning and performance optimization of various mechanical and electrical fit-out elements.
  • Collaborating with Managers and Engineers to implement and coordinate the Project Management Plan.
  • Demonstrating strong communication skills, punctuality, and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex problems efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.

About You

  • Proven experience in project engineering, construction, and commissioning.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering.
  • Desirable experience in process plants or power station construction.
  • Attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of OHSQ and statutory requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality correspondence and technical reports.
  • A proven track record of delivering quality work under minimum supervision within a team environment, meeting deadlines consistently.

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
