Operations and Project Delivery Expert

This role involves leading day-to-day operations across multiple projects. Your primary focus will be on ensuring operational efficiency, commercial oversight, and team alignment across the business.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, commercial, or project delivery roles within the civil or construction industry. They should possess tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operational activities across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure delivery meets financial, compliance, and quality targets.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, estimators, and site supervisors to drive outcomes across all project phases.
  • Lead labour planning and resource allocation, including recruitment of site-based personnel.
  • Support the estimating process by reviewing scopes, pricing strategies, and methodologies.
  • Manage contracts, variations, claims, and risk assessments.
  • Track project performance and budget adherence through accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental, and ISO-aligned management systems.
  • Provide guidance on project start-ups, procurement, and documentation processes.
  • Help drive internal process improvements, systems efficiency, and team communication.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in operations, commercial, or project delivery roles within the civil or construction industry.
  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial and contractual acumen, with experience managing budgets, contracts, variations, and risk.
  • Proven ability to support estimating processes, including reviewing scopes, pricing, and methodologies.
  • Background in remedial, civil, or other high-compliance construction environments is highly regarded.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and teams.
  • White Card and valid driver's license required; prior experience with civil or remedial projects is a plus.
