Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading project delivery from concept design through to construction, ensuring technical excellence
  • Contributing to business development and client engagement, including maintaining and expanding existing relationships
  • Identifying new opportunities and contributing to strategic planning and growth initiatives
  • Overseeing project financials including fee proposals, resourcing, budgeting, and profitability
  • Managing and mentoring engineers, modellers, and drafters within the team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Peer review of design work and documentation to ensure quality and compliance
  • Representing the business in client meetings, presentations, and industry forums
  • Contributing to the continual improvement of systems, processes, and design standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years' relevant project technical experience in the consulting or engineering industry
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Civil Engineering)
  • CPEng/NER accreditation
  • Registered Design Practitioner or on pathway to achieve, highly desirable
  • Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing teams and projects
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term client relationships
  • A track record of driving business performance through technical and commercial contributions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on collaboration and influence
  • A proactive and strategic mindset with a passion for growing business and people
