Factory Trainee

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior or recent school leaver to learn and grow in a dynamic and supportive environment.

• Picking and packing orders for dispatch
• Acquiring knowledge about various types of steel products
• Managing stock rotation and allocation
• Reading detailed drawings for steel fabrication
• Operating machinery, workshop equipment, and tools
• Maintaining general cleanliness and following WHS procedures at all times
• Providing excellent customer service
• Identifying problems and proposing solutions in fabrication
• Manual handling involved in cutting steel
• Light Fabrication of orders
• Learn to use a measuring tool proficiently
• Participate in relevant training in the use of specific items and equipment

• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Organized with good time management skills
• Actively involved in housekeeping
• Good verbal communication skills
• Able to work self-sufficiently on assigned tasks
• Manual dexterity with the ability to use tools and machinery
• Strong Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills
• Current Australian driver's license or reliable transport
• Flexibility and available for immediate start

This is a full-time position, commencing on a casual basis for the first 6 months and then moving to permanent full-time. Our working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. On-the-job training will be provided to the right person. Hourly rate will depend on experience, ability, and productivity based on individual circumstances.
