We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst - Financial Strategy to join our team. This role involves analysing and evaluating the financial and operational performance of business operations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies, and developing accurate forecasts, budgets, and projections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement, including financial data and operational metrics.
- Evaluate the financial and operational performance of different business units, key clients, and initiatives against plan/KPIs/benchmarks, identifying areas of underperformance and potential growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks and inefficiencies, supporting the Commercial Manager and enabling the execution of the overall commercial and finance strategy.
- Prepare accurate and quality insights/commentary to communicate business performance to stakeholders, highlighting key performance metrics, trends, and actionable recommendations.
- Utilise current and historical data, including market trends, to develop accurate forecasts, budgets, and projections, supporting strategic planning, resource allocation, and setting realistic performance targets.
- Actively seek opportunities to enhance data collection methods, reporting tools, and analytical techniques, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of business performance analysis.
- Drive invoicing/Supplier processing and settlement discipline, maintaining a complete view and understanding of working capital (unbilled/billed/PO) and reporting on aging.
- Support the preparation of capital investment requests and provide accurate data required by the CM for tenders and opportunity pricing.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, providing detailed insights into business operations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using data visualization tools and creating impactful reports.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- CA or CPA qualified, or equivalent.
