Job Description

Maintenance fitters are responsible for conducting maintenance on all aspects of a site, including state-of-the-art mixing plants, packaging lines, and utilities areas.

This role may suit a recently qualified tradesperson who can troubleshoot, repair, and install pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves and pumps, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, safety checks, and equipment modifications.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of safety responsibilities and procedures, as well as the ability to solve problems effectively.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment with opportunities for overtime.

You will be working with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and CMMS systems for preventative maintenance, and assisting with root cause analysis and breakdown analysis.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Troubleshooting and repairing complex systems
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks
  • Ensuring operational safety devices and guards are on equipment
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of preventative maintenance program
  • Accurately documenting all maintenance activities
  • Effective communication with team members and internal customers
Requirements
  • A Trade qualification with welding/machining experience
  • Fitting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • A deep understanding of safety responsibilities and procedures
  • The ability to solve problems
