Urologist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Urologist to join our team at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.

About the Role:
  • Attend face-to-face and telehealth clinics, ensuring timely and effective diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in scheduled weekly theatre lists and ad-hoc emergency lists, demonstrating expertise in Open, Laparoscopic, and Robotic Surgery.
  • Contribute to on-call rosters, providing 24/7 support to patients and colleagues.
  • Lead ward rounds, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff, fostering a culture of excellence and mentorship.
  • Pursue research opportunities, advancing the field of urology and contributing to evidence-based practice.
  • Attend weekly Multi-disciplinary Team Meetings, facilitating collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders.
About You:
  • You are an AHPRA registered surgeon with acute hospital experience and a collaborative working style.
  • You possess effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
  • You have experience in Open, Laparoscopic, and Robotic Surgery, with a desire to expand your skills and work with world leaders in urological disorders, treatments, and research.
  • You embody the RMH values and behaviors, serving as a role model for junior doctors and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
