Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Stake Australia. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a vital role in upholding the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement resilient, scalable systems.
  • Apply SRE best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining effective monitoring to identify and address potential issues.
  • Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce toil.
  • Participate in incident response and contribute to postmortem analysis for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in developing disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans (BCPs) in collaboration with relevant teams.
Requirements:
  • Solid experience as an SRE with a good understanding of best practices.
  • Experience deploying and managing systems in Kubernetes.
  • Strong working knowledge of public cloud infrastructure, preferably with GCP.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages like Go (preferred), Java, or Python, with the ability to debug and automate tasks.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working with monitoring and observability tools.
