Job Description
As an Employment Consultant, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding clients to achieve suitable employment opportunities that lead to sustainable outcomes. You will use your exceptional customer service skills to build rapport with clients, assist them on their employment journey, and help them overcome barriers to employment.
Key Responsibilities
Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to manage the referral & intake process of job seekers into their chosen program
- Assessment of job seeker skills, abilities, identification of barriers and intervention strategies
In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers) and employment support activities
- Reverse marketing of job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities
Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment
Requirements
You are self-driven, resilient, and experienced in Customer Service. You have a strong ability to move agilely through your to-do list. Experience within the Employment Services sector is advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong Communication skills, attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to use computer systems, excellent data accuracy & note taking
- Build rapport, grow &maintain relationships with clients, peers, & jobseekers
- Enjoy achieving KPI's – we aren't selling cars; we are securing meaningful work for vulnerable individuals
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or are willing to obtain one
