Job Description

A Senior Security Engineer will be an integral part of our elite Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. This role entails deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting key Microsoft Security and Google SecOps technologies across client environments to detect, prevent, and respond to security threats.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in the Microsoft security stack, assisting internal SOC teams with engineering queries and technical escalations while fostering strong relationships with clients.

This position offers flexible working arrangements and can be based out of our Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane office.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Google SecOps, and Defender technologies to internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform maintenance of Tesserent deployed technologies within client environments
  • Assist with the triage, response, and escalation of client and internal engineering tickets
  • Take ownership of projects to ensure timely completion and high standards
  • Collaborate with the SOC team to enhance security monitoring and response capabilities
  • Create, follow, and maintain internal SOC documentation
  • Stay updated on the ever-changing threat landscape

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-4+ years' experience in a Microsoft security engineering or related role
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel and Defender
  • In-depth knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, and EDR
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (i.e., SC-200, MS-500, and AZ-500)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
