Physiotherapist Team Leader

As a Physiotherapist Team Leader, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality physiotherapy service to our hospital as part of the wider Physiotherapy team. You will maintain a clinical caseload, oversee the acute, inpatient clinical wards of the hospital, and provide support to the Physiotherapy service operating in ED and outpatients.
The Physiotherapy team provides a 7-day service to all inpatient areas, including intensive care, orthopaedics, surgical wards, neurosciences, and neurosurgery, cardiothoracics, general medicine, and the emergency department.
This position will include participation in a weekend and public holiday roster.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership to a designated clinical area and department
- Driving service development and quality improvement within the Physiotherapy Department
- Working with other senior staff and the Physiotherapy Manager on issues such as workload and staff management and strategic planning
- Providing supervision and mentoring to junior Physiotherapy staff and students
Essential criteria include:
- Degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with AHPRA
- Minimum 5 years' clinical experience working in an acute care hospital
- Extensive experience working across a variety of acute, inpatient Physiotherapy areas
- Demonstrated provision of excellent clinical care related to patient assessment, treatment, discharge planning, and contemporary evidence-based practice in Physiotherapy
