We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician with experience in electroplating to join our team at Qantas Airways. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and rectification tasks to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform aircraft maintenance and rectification tasks in accordance with manufacturers' and company specifications
- Work with specialist teams within our hangar environments to provide excellent engineering standards
- Provide electroplating, anodising, surface preparation, and cadmium plating services for various businesses within Qantas Engineering and external customers
- Overhaul and repair wheels and brakes for Qantas Group and customer airlines
- Repair, overhaul, and maintain aircraft evacuation equipment, including slides, reservoirs, and gas generators
- Aircraft maintenance technician trade qualification or equivalent, preferably under EASA or CASA regulations
- Relevant aircraft maintenance trade experience, minimum 6 years (Mechanical, Structures, or Avionics)
- Extensive aircraft servicing experience on various aircraft in a maintenance environment
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures
- Commitment to all safe working practices and service standards
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Commitment to being customer-focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Demonstrated high ethical/behavioral standards and self-discipline
- Ability to work shift work
- Meet all Visa requirements, including English language proficiency
