Our global accounts receivable, accounts payable, treasury and payroll functions require a highly experienced and strategic Director, Financial Operations to lead and manage them effectively.

This finance leadership role will oversee end-to-end financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all payroll, billing, and payment operations.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, drive process improvements, and implement best practices to optimise financial operations at a global scale.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across the AR, AP, Treasury and Payroll functions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Design and implement global financial operations strategies and key performance indicators that align with organisational goals and financial objectives.
  • Drive process improvements, implement automation, and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities, deliver value-add insights, mitigate risk and support an agile culture in a constantly pivoting environment.
  • Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on financial operations, providing strategic insights and recommendations.

Key Challenges:

  • Lead and oversee the global payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll for employees in our current six jurisdictions.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, labor laws, and global payroll standards, coordinating with external vendors and external and internal partners when necessary, identifying and implementing areas for stronger internal process and controls.
  • Develop and implement payroll strategies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, including integration with systems.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in financial operations, with at least 5 years in a finance leadership role overseeing payroll, AR, and AP.
  • Proven experience strategically driving scale and transactional efficiencies through end-to-end ownership and understanding, being a respected decision maker and collaborator.
  • Strong understanding of global payroll systems, accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, as well as international compliance and tax regulations.
  • Knowledge of international banking and payment processes.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems (Net Suite and Salesforce a plus).
