Project Overview

We seek a Senior Civil Engineer with 8+ years' experience to lead our Transport team in Cairns.

This role will play a leading part in the design and delivery of major road and infrastructure projects for government agencies, local councils, and contractor partners.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leading and supporting design delivery for road infrastructure projects, adhering to guidelines set by governing bodies.
  • Contributing to proposal preparation and supporting business development initiatives.
  • Driving quality outcomes through technical review and mentoring junior team members.
  • Ensuring effective verbal and written communication to enhance client satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Helping shape the strategic direction of projects in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • 8+ years' experience in civil engineering with a focus on roads and highways.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer of Queensland - essential.
  • Proven capability in delivering projects from planning to detailed design.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for solving complex infrastructure challenges.
  • Experience leading design teams or mentoring others highly regarded.
