  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Participation and Access team.

This team is focused on inclusive early childhood education and care. We work on initiatives that aim to increase engagement with early childhood education, particularly among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children with disability, and those from diverse backgrounds.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, including the ability to oversee strategic projects, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery. They will also have experience in leading, mentoring, and motivating teams to achieve key deliverables.

In addition, the successful candidate will have knowledge of policy development and implementation, as well as experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders. They will be committed to principles of diversity and inclusion and have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To lead a team delivering critical policy, project, and general management functions.
  2. To develop and implement strategies for monitoring the effectiveness of policies, programs, and projects.
  3. To work collaboratively with other teams to achieve organisational objectives.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience.
  • A valid clearance to work with children (Working with Children Check) for paid employment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
