We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to join our team as a College Timetabler. This key role ensures the seamless daily operation of the college by managing and organizing both staff and Casual Relief Teachers (CRTs).
About Our Client
Our client is a co-educational college for students from years 7-12 with two campuses in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne. The college's campuses are situated in Glenroy & Broadmeadows, with a total college enrolment of approximately 1,500 students.
Position Objective
The College Timetabler will design and manage the College timetable, ensuring smooth operations and timely updates throughout the year.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Design and manage the College timetable using Timetabler software.
- Liaise with the Executive Team and College leaders to ensure efficient timetable operations.
- Upload and maintain timetables in Synergetic.
- Support the Principal and Deputy Principal Learning and Teaching with student subject selections and timetable development.
- Import class information and set up Learning Groups.
- Communicate timetable information and changes to stakeholders.
- Extract and report timetable data accurately.
- Create load summary information for teaching staff.
- Prepare, check, and distribute student and staff timetables.
- Assist with student subject selection forms and subject block organization.
- Update timetables for semester changes, staff changes, and special events.
- Develop examination and HeadStart timetables for senior students.
- Participate in ARMs to identify professional development goals.
Experience and Qualifications
- Understanding of Catholic school ethos and mission.
- Ability to integrate Church teachings into curriculum.
- Experience working with children and understanding child safety.
- Familiarity with legal obligations related to child safety.
- Teaching qualifications.
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school (or working towards it).
Desirable
- Accreditation to Teach Religious Education.
- Experience with Victorian Curriculum and ICT in teaching.
