Aurizon is seeking a qualified Locomotive Driver to join our team at our Port Augusta depot in South Australia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of locomotives, including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.
Key Responsibilities- Operate locomotives in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
- Work in a team environment to ensure the smooth operation of rail services.
- Maintain a high level of on-time running and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Locomotive Driver who is committed to safety and has a strong understanding of rail operations. You will have a Certificate IV in Rail Operations and a current unrestricted driver's licence.
As a key member of our team, you will be required to work a 24/7 shift roster and be available to work away from home for up to 5 days at a time.
