About the Role

  • You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to innovate and iterate player-focused designs that delight millions.
  • You will shape the game inside and out, mentoring junior designers and refining the development process to raise quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design innovative champion kits, powers, items, relics, and constellations to excite players.
  2. Develop content to challenge champions in adventures, event mechanics, and quests.
  3. Implement production-ready designs through Python scripting.
  4. Collaborate with a tight-knit team to implement content on a live service cadence.
  5. Provide high-quality feedback to peers and help uplevel content quality across the team.
  6. Execute design goals within defined frameworks, adapting to constraints while maintaining player-centric outcomes.
  7. Surface gaps in tools, workflows, or documentation and propose actionable improvements.
  8. Align with engineering, product, and art partners on design requirements and implementation constraints.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in game design for at least one live service game.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute within established design structures and contribute meaningfully to ongoing live operations.
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy, staying aligned with design direction set by leads.
  • Thrives in small team environments, creating high-quality player experiences from limited resources.
  • Strong implementation skills, able to prototype and build content with sustainable, production-ready execution.
  • Exceptional clarity in communication, conveying concepts effectively to remote and interdisciplinary teammates.
