Design and Technology Teacher

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled teacher of Design and Technology to join our team at St Francis Xavier College, a large co-educational Year 7-12 Catholic college in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn with an outstanding reputation for leading excellence in education in the ACT.

The Technologies faculty is a highly skilled, professional, creative and dynamic team who is passionate about Design and Technology curriculum and pedagogical practice. In conjunction with teaching a range of Australian Curriculum and BSSS courses, our teachers are expert practitioners and leaders in curriculum design and resource development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of Design and Technology courses to students from Years 7-12
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support student growth and achievement
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver high-quality curriculum resources and programs
  • Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to the development of the Technologies faculty

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
  • Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
